In hiring the photographer, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions:
The client agrees to all sessions being at their own risk. The client acknowledges that there are inherent risks involved with any type of terrain and elements. The photographer is not responsible for any injuries sustained while shooting.
The client acknowledges that the photographer was selected for her style of her work and her artistic vision. The photographer will not be expected to photograph or edit in any other way unless she states otherwise. The photographer cannot make any guarantees as to specific shots or poses, as each session is unique to location, lighting, and subject.
The photographer reserves the right to postpone a session due to weather. In the event that this happens, the client will have the option of rescheduling. In the event that the photographer must cancel a session due to personal reasons, injury, or illness; the client will have the option of rescheduling or receiving reimbursements for any paid fees.
In case of equipment failure or lost images, the photographer is not liable and the client will have the option of rescheduling or receiving reimbursements for any paid fees.
The client is responsible for bringing any water, snacks, and props for the subjects- particularly if the subjects are children. Please plan ahead!
The subject agrees to arrive on time and to be ready to begin shooting at the scheduled time. The photographer is only contracted to be present for the allotted time and charges $100 per hour beyond the scheduled timeframe.
The client agrees to agreeable cooperation and open communication with the photographer. If the subject is uncooperative or unresponsive, the client understands that the photographer will not be able to capture the best images possible.
Images will be ready for proofing within ten days of the session date. The client will receive an email with a password to view their private proof gallery and select images.
Once images are selected, there will be a post processing time of up to 3 weeks after the date of selection. As soon as the images are complete, the client will receive an email with a password that will allow the option to purchase prints and download digital files.
Images received may not be edited or altered from their original version in any way. This includes but is not limited to: turning color images to black and white, cropping, color accenting, or adding text.
The client gives consent to the photographer to use any images for advertising or promotion. The client agrees to allow the photographer to post images from their session on Facebook, Instagram, her blog, and/or her website unless the client gives prior written notification to the photographer stating that they do not wish for their images to be posted.
Each session will include two types of files: high resolution images for printing, and low resolution images for web sharing. Please use each only for their intended purpose.
The client will receive a “Limited Copyright Release” upon receipt of the images. The client agrees to abide completely and unalterably by the rules stated in this release. Images may be used for the client’s personal use and sharing, but are not to be re-sold or submitted in contests of any kind without the photographers written consent.
Raw and/or unedited images are not available to the client.
The client will have 1 month from the date of receiving their images to express any concern with the images. After 1 month, it will be assumed that the client is satisfied with their images.
The photographer only guarantees to keep copies of the client’s digital files for up to six months after the session.
With regards to payment, the photographer must receive full payment for the session prior to booking. Additional prints and digital images will be available for purchase.
